Consecration and sanctification

One of our consecration by Christ is that we are now a *PRIESTHOOD* of believers “…But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
[1 Peter 2:9 KJV].
CONSECRATION will provide the believers with direct access to our heavenly Father “…To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:”
[Ephesians 3:10‭-‬11 KJV].

After *Consecration*, then *SANCTIFICATION*

*SANCTIFICATION*
This is the process of God’s grace by which the believer is separated from sin and become dedicated to God’s righteousness. This can only be accomplished by the Word of God “…Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.”
[John 17:7‭-‬8 KJV], and the influence of the *Holy Spirit* “…For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
[Romans 8:3‭-‬4 KJV].

*SANCTIFICATION results in Holiness (that is PURIFICATION from the guilt and power of sin)*

Sanctification as separation from the world and setting apart for God’s service is a concept found throughout the Bible, such as the prophets, the priests, the temple, even the garments of the priests are to be sanctified before usage.

God is sanctified by the witness of believers “… But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”
[1 Peter 3:15 KJV], and by His (God) judgments upon sin “…And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.”
[Ezekiel 38:16 KJV].
Jesus also was *”sanctified and sent into the world”* “…Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, …”
[John 10:36 KJV]. This implies *No SANCTIFICATION, no PROCLAMATION*.

SANCTIFICATION IN THE ATONEMENT
As the process by which God purifies the believer, sanctification is based on the *sacrificial death of Christ*. God has CHOSEN and RECONCILED us to Himself in Christ for the purpose of *SANCTIFICATION* “… Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”
[Ephesians 1:3‭-‬5 KJV].

*The sacrifice*
Old Testament sacrifice cannot take away sin, “…For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”
[Hebrews 10:4 KJV],
*it is only capable to sanctify for the purifying of the flash.* “…For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:”
[Hebrews 9:13 KJV]

New Testament sacrifice
The blood of Jesus, the blood of the new covenant, however, goes far beyond the ritual. I mean the ordinary purification of the body. “…Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.”
[Hebrews 13:12 KJV].
The offering of Christ’s body and His blood serves to purge
